25 Kid-Friendly Events in March!
March 1st – 3rd
1 – EAA Family Flightfest
Kick off springtime by discovering the exciting world of aviation at EAA Family Flight Fest! This weekend-long event is a great chance for families to get out of the house and have a total BLAST at the EAA Aviation Museum.
2 – Milwaukee County Zoo
Family Free Day on Saturday, March 2nd. Parking rates still apply.
3 – Elephant & Piggie Party at the Germantown Public Library
Celebrate Mo Willem’s quirky characters while making crafts, listening to storytime and participating in lots of activities! You may even meet some very special guests – so don’t forget your camera! All ages are welcome.
4 – Kids Resale Event
Marigold will be hosting a Kids resale event in our lower level! Come shop through tons of gently used children’s clothing, toys, and other items! Forget those chain stores that mark up to almost full price, come shop with local families instead!
5 – Disney Junior Dance Party

7 – Snow Hill Climb
Join West Bend Harley-Davidson and Sunburst Ski Area for a day of snow hill climb fun!11am – Practice Runs

2pm – Athlete Meet & Greet with Autographs Signing
This is an exhibition race that highlights our Midwest talent from the Winter X-Games! No need to have gone to Aspen to see them. We bring them right to you!

8 – Behind the Scenes at the Milwaukee County Zoo
Discover the inner workings of the Zoo during this once-a-year event! Ever wonder where some animals go in winter? Or what goes on in our Small Mammal Kitchen? Get a glimpse of the Zoo from a zookeeper’s perspective during the Milwaukee County Zoo’s Behind the Scenes Weekend, sponsored by Prairie Farms Dairy on March 9 and 10.
9 – Journal Sentinel Sports Show
The Journal Sentinel Sports Show has been an important part of the Wisconsin outdoor experience since 1940. For five days in March, everything outdoors will be celebrated indoors. As always, there will be something for every outdoor sports enthusiast, from those who love fishing, hunting, and camping to those who get outdoors to enjoy kayaking, boating, and hiking. Entrance for kids under 12 is free, so it’s a great way to spend a weekend with family.
10 – Holy Cross Preschool Rummage
Holy Cross Preschool is hosting its annual, multi-family rummage and bake sale. Items for sale include children’s clothing, adult clothing, household items, books, crafts, toys, sporting goods, holiday items, jewelry, baby equipment, and tools, etc. All proceeds benefit the educational programs at Holy Cross Preschool. Fill a paper grocery bag with items from noon to 1 pm for $5.00.
11 – Delavan Train Show
Bring the whole family and spend the day in historic Delavan, WI to enjoy the 12th annual Delavan Train Show! This show features operating layouts in multiple scales. Admission and parking are free! Come see some of the most exciting layouts from the “big” shows for free, plus some beautiful local layouts. This is a big train show with all the comforts of the small town atmosphere.
12 – Family Free Night
Come join us at the Signicast Family Aquatic Center on Friday, March 8th. The entire family gets in for FREE during our open swim from 6:30-8:30pm.
13 – Splash Out Hunger
Looking for a Free Event to get Your Kids Out of the House?

Splash Out Hunger is an event where You and Your Kids Swim Free in exchange for a Food or Monetary Donation.
100% Goes to Support the Hartford Food Pantry.

14 – Milwaukee St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The 53rd Annual Shamrock Club of Wisconsin St. Patrick’s Parade presented by Miller Lite takes place on Saturday, March 9th, 2019 in Downtown Milwaukee. The parade steps off at Noon at 3rd and Wisconsin and finishes at Water and Highland. Join us for one of the best St Patrick’s Day Parades in the country and the grandest parade in Wisconsin. The Parade features 140+ units and includes local politicians & celebrities, floats, bagpipe & marching bands and Irish & Celtic organizations. It’s the perfect event for the whole family!

15 – Luck of the Irish Family Night
Fond du Lac Luck of the Irish Family Night ‘Tis a great day for the wearing of the green! Can you find all the leprechauns hidden in the museum? Join us for an evening of live Irish music, crafts, snacks, and fun! For CMFDL members: free with admission ($8/person) or membership; no registration required.
For YPF members: $7 per person (adults and children)
16 – Spring Market
Cedarburg A great show featuring a variety of artisans showcasing accessories, clothing, home décor, edible treats and a couple local food trucks!
17 – St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Town of Erin
St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held March 17, 2019 starting at 11:00a.m. Please be advise the Washington County Sheriff’s Department can close the road at their discretion.
18 – Madagascar: A Musical Adventure
Come “Move it, Move it” with the Schauer Rising Stars Productions as they help Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe, Gloria the Hippo, and some crafty penguins escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo. Not content to live in blissful captivity, Marty lets his curiosity take over as he makes his escape to explore the world. His friends refuse to be left behind as they all embark on an unforgettable voyage. Based on the smash-hit DreamWorks motion picture, this show promises to be a Zooful of fun!
19 – Patty’s Pool Party
Your Pot’o Gold is at the end of our water slide at the Signicast Family Aquatic Center! During open swim on Sunday, March 17th, 1:00-3:45pm, our lifeguards will toss some coins in the pool for you to retrieve! Regular admission applies. Anyone 7 and younger needs to be within an arms reach of an adult in the pool.

20 – Maple Sugarin’ Festival
Riveredge’s Maple Sugarin’ Festival will take you on a journey through the sugarbush where you will experience the maple sugarin’ season like never before. Along the way, you’ll learn how to tap a maple tree, observe live demonstrations, participate in hands-on activities, enjoy music, games, and so much more! When you reach the evaporator, you’ll see how sap is transformed into syrup and enjoy one of our our famous pancakes and 100% pure Riveredge maple syrup.

23 – Milwaukee Winter Farmers Market
The Milwaukee Winter Farmers Market (MWFM) brings together about 50 weekly vendors in the Greenhouse Annex at the Mitchell Park Domes. Find a variety of locally produced foods on Saturdays from 8 am – Noon!
24 – Miniature Milwaukee – Garden Train Show at the Domes
Miniature Milwaukee, the garden train show at the Mitchell Park Domes, is fun for the whole family. G-scale trains crisscross hundreds of feet of track through the miniaturized landscape. The show is open daily through April 7, 2019, and is included with general admission to The Domes.
