In a few short weeks, the Museum of Wisconsin Art’s (MOWA) cultural campus will transform into a canvas for astounding chalk artwork! Watch the magic unfold live before your eyes as professional chalk artists turn their visions into reality. This festival will include 65+ fine artists, 17 chalk artists, live music, kid’s art activities, food, beer garden, and tons of fun photo opportunities!

What to Know
1. It’s FREE!
How many opportunities do you get to watch renowned artists create masterpieces up close and personal…for free?! And, in addition to free admission to Art and Chalk Fest, the Museum of Wisconsin Art will be open and FREE all weekend. Come and see what it’s all about!
2. It’s for EVERYONE!
Bring your kids, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa – there is something for everyone at this festival. There will be tons of kid-friendly activities and ways to join in the fun. Don’t feel like participating? That’s okay! Come have a drink, grab some food, browse the vendors, and vote for your favorite chalk artist.
Kids activities will include: face painting, hands-on art projects, and of course, chalking! There will be a designated kids art activities area where chalking will occur and lots of fun projects for families and children from infant to adult. Children will be able to take home special goodies, too!
3. It’s not just chalk!
In addition to the amazing chalk art, there will be music, food, beer, family art activities, and there is a juried selection of 65+ fine artist vendor booths lining the premises with handmade jewelry, photography, furniture, ceramics, mixed media, painting, and more.

The Museum of Wisconsin Art (MOWA) is located in West Bend and explores the art and culture of Wisconsin. Founded in 1961, MOWA is one of the top museums of regional art in the United States, with over 5,000 works of contemporary and historic art by more than 350 artists. Through rotating exhibitions and educational programs, MOWA provides an innovative forum for all.
MOWA hosts weekly programs for children of all ages to explore creativity through story time with art and weekend studio sessions.
