4th of July Events 2017

Independence Day is one of our favorite times of the year! There’s something so nostalgic about fireworks, food, and fun on this special holiday. There are lots of ways to celebrate July 4th in Washington County – check out our guide below!

July 4th | Parade at 10 AM | Fireworks at Dusk
Cedarburg’s annual 4th of July Hometown Celebration will take place on Tuesday, 4th of July Ranked as the largest celebration of its kind in southeastern Wisconsin, this spectacle draws an estimated 10,000 spectators to the downtown Cedarburg Historic District. The roughly two-hour parade will start at 10am, followed by an all-day picnic in Cedar Creek Park, live music and a firework display at dusk.

July 4th | Parade at 12 PM | Fireworks at 9 PM
Germantown’s 4th of July Celebration is July 4 at Firemen’s Park. The annual parade starts at 12pm followed by a community picnic, food, music and activities in the park. The fireworks display begins at 9 PM.

July 1st | Parade at 11 AM | Fireworks at 9:30 PM
Grafton’s Independence Day Celebration is held early, on Saturday July 1. A parade kicks off at Grafton High School at 11am and ends at Centennial Park. Afterwards celebrate Grillin’ In Grafton at the park – a BBQ competition with music and plenty of family fun! Fireworks begin at 9:30pm. Riteway is offering free shuttle service for this event.

July 4 | Parade at 2 PM | Fireworks at Dusk
Hartford’s annual Independence Day Celebration begins with a 2:00 PM parade on July 4. The whole family will enjoy various entertainment, games and refreshments to follow. The parade route runs from North Main St to Lincoln School and the fireworks display begins at dusk.

July 3 | Live Music at 7 PM | Fireworks at Dusk
Enjoy fireworks, live music, and fun for everyone at the annual Kewaskum Independence Day Celebration! Shut The Front Door will be performing live music beginning at 7pm in River Hill Park. Fireworks begin at dusk.

July 3 | Parade at 7 PM | Fireworks at Dusk
Enjoy the Menomonee Falls parade and fireworks on July 3rd, beginning at 7pm. The parade runs from Appleton Ave from Elm Ln to the High School and fireworks begin at the high school at dusk.

June 24 | Parade at 10:30 AM | Fireworks at 9:30 PM
The community of Mequon celebrates July 4th a little bit early with “Family Fun Before The 4th”. Held on Saturday, June 24th, enjoy a parade, tons of food and entertainment, and a fantastic fireworks show! The parade begins at 10:30am, followed by fun activities at Thiensville Village Park and fireworks at 9:30pm.

A hometown Fourth of July Celebration will be held in Port Washington on July 4th with a parade at 11:00 a.m., ice cream social, kids games and activities, and of course, fireworks on the Lakefront at dusk.

July 4 | Parade at 1 PM | Fireworks at Dusk
Celebrate Independence Day in Saukville! Start out the day with a parade at 1 p.m.
Afterwords, head to Grady Park for activities for the whole family!. Fireworks begin at dusk at Peninsula Park.

July 4 | Parade at 9:15 AM | Fireworks at 9:20 PM
Celebrate the 4th of July at Sussex Village Park. There will be a Kiddie Parade in the morning followed by children’s games, crafts, face painting and ice cream. That evening, enjoy the fireworks display provided by Wolverine Fireworks Display Inc.

July 4th | Parade at 9:30 AM | Fireworks at 9:45 PM
Enjoy a day of fun at the Fourth of July Celebration in West Bend! A family parade begins at 9:30 am, followed by tons of great activities in two locations – Regner Park & Riverside Park! Compete in the annual Kiwanis Duck Derby, enjoy root beer floats, live music and more! Fireworks begin at 9:45pm.

July 3 | Kite Festival at 11 AM | Fireworks at 9:30 PM
Watch the skies light over the lakefront in Milwaukee for 60 minutes of “oohs and aahs”. The popular hour-long July 3rd fireworks have been a long running tradition in Milwaukee and attracts quite a crowd. Enjoy a kite festival on the Lakefront prior to the fireworks show beginning at 11am. Fireworks start at 9:30pm.
