Feel like taking a day trip? We’ve put together a list of some of the coolest Wisconsin restaurants that we could find – some near and some far.  Whenever you’re feeling adventurous, pack the kids in the car and head out to one of these fun restaurant destinations!

1. Ella’s Deli

Ella’s Deli was made for kids! This restaurant is filled with floor-to-ceiling animations, an extensive kids menu (even a baby plate for your little ones!), and an outdoor carousel you won’t want to miss!

2. Al Johnson’s

Head to Door County to check out this Swedish restaurant with a fun twist – goats grazing on a grass roof! Don’t believe us? Take a look at the live “goat cam” here! (Goats hang around during peak season, late May – October).

This place is popular with kids for one very important reason – a 5,000 square foot game room! A great place to stay warm during our freezing Wisconsin winters!

Organ Piper Pizza has been going strong for over 40 years and we have fond memories of visiting as children.  You’ll have a great night listening to the “Mighty Wurlitzer” theater pipe organ. Their talented organists take requests and can play a variety of songs, from Bach to rock, to the latest Disney tune! There’s also a small game room.

Probably the most famous “secret” in Milwaukee, this spy themed restaurant is a hit with the old and young alike.  It’s definitely worth a stop for lunch – if you can find it, that is!

Okay, we know this place is not actually in Wisconsin – but it’s just a stone’s throw away in nearby Gurnee, IL. As the name suggests, the place is decked out in a tropical rainforest theme, and your kids can enjoy simulated thunderstorms during the meal.
