Here’s a fun fact for you: the average person eats 4500 calories on Thanksgiving Day!! Want to find a fun way to burn off a few of the calories before the big feast? Listed below are the Thanksgiving Day races held in the Washington County Area. Many of them benefit local charities, so you’ll also be contributing to a great cause.

All races are held the morning of Thanksgiving, November 24, 2016. Please visit the links below to find details about each event and to pre-register.


Turkey Trot
5k run/walk that begins at St. Francis Borgia in Cedarburg. Bring your pups because this race is pet friendly!

Fond Du Lac

Festival Foods Turkey Trot
Run the 5 mile race, or bring your dog along for the 2 mile course! This race benefits the YMCA and Boys & Girls Club of America. Bonus: Everyone who participates in the race gets to take home a pumpkin pie!


Turkey Trot
A fun run/walk through the village of Kewaskum. Dress up as a turkey if you please!


Turkey Trot
5k and 8k courses, a kids dash, and a everyone gets a cinnamon roll after the run! The race is held along Milwaukee’s Lakefront and benefits the Hunger Task Force! See race map here

Drumstick Dash
5k Run/Walk held annually at Miller Park. The race benefits Feeding America of Eastern Wisconsin. Kids can run with their parents – 4 and under are free.

Great Gobble Wobble
A lovely 5k Run/Walk through Boerner Botanical Gardens. Experience the beautiful garden in fall and burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories!



Turkey Trot & Gobble Gallop
A scenic Thanksgiving day run through the village of Thiensville. There’s a free 50 meter Gobble Gallop for kids 12 and younger after the race. The race benefits multiple community charities and resources.


Run Turkey Run
A 5k Run/Walk and 1k Kids Fun Run. Listen to music along the way! The race benefits local Watertown charities.
