Pumpkin Picking – A Local Guide To Our Favorite Fall Activity
It’s no secret – we love fall! Hayrides in the crisp fall air, choosing the largest pumpkins we can carry, and getting lost in a corn maze… these are a few of the things that make pumpkin picking our favorite fall activity. Washington County is blessed with so many local pumpkin farms. Check out our list below.

Cedarburg Creek Farm – 649 Hwy 60 Cedarburg, WI 53012
Looking for night-time fun? This farm has some great after-dark activities on the weekend, including a haunted hayride, evening barnyard visits, a full kitchen for snacks, and a campfire with s’mores. There is also plenty of daytime fun to be had, including a pumpkin patch, kid’s straw bale and corn maze. Check out the barnyard petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses, barrel train, treats, and antique tractor plowing demos. Check the website for live music on select dates!

Basse’s Taste of Country – 3190 County Line Q Colgate, WI 53017
One of the largest pumpkin farms in Wisconsin with over 30 fun fall activities, this farm will keep children of all ages entertained. Paid admission includes a free pumpkin and unlimited activities, including lots of outdoor games, pig races, jumping castle, peddle karts, slides, hayride, a giant 8 acre Finding Dory themed corn maze and so much more! Pumpkin Fest begins September 24
Jim’s Pumpkin Farm – N124 W17781 W Lovers Lane Germantown, WI 53022
This pumpkin farm is a WC Busy Kids favorite and has lots of activities geared towards your younger children. Enjoy a leisurely hayride through the enchanted woods to the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch. Find your way through a 4-1/2 acre corn maze, have some fun on Corny Lane, stuff your own scarecrow, and head over to the kids craft shack. Hayrides run on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-6pm.
Admission: Free (Please note: some activities have a fee and this farm is cash only.)

The Family Farm – 328 Port Washington Road, Grafton, WI 53024
Take a trip back to Wisconsin’s farming roots at this old-fashioned farmstead. There are 6 restored farm buildings on the property, children’s play structures, a 1/2 mile nature walk, and a hay ride to pick your own pumpkins.
Admission: Ages 2-12 $3.75, Ages 13+ $6.25

Experience Pumpkins in the Pines at Lammscapes! Each weekend features a fun theme and there are plenty of activities for the kids, including a straw bale maze, kids activity area, scarecrow stuffing, pumpkin painting and more!

Barthel Fruit Farm – 12246 N Farmdale Rd Mequon WI 53097
A pick your own fruit farm with pumpkins, too! This is a great local place to stop if you are looking for a variety of produce.
Admission: Free – most produce is sold by the pound

Creekside Valley Farms – 13101 N Wauwatosa Rd Mequon, WI 53097
Beautiful family-owned farm with pumpkin picking, fall decor, and a fall-themed theater room with popcorn. Say hello to the friendly farm animals and play around on the pedal tractors, swings and games like checkers. Many of the activities on this farm are free, so it’s a great value and especially fun for your younger children! $5/person charge for the corn maze. Pumpkins are sold by the pound. Don’t miss a game – Packer games are streamed in the Theater room on game days.

Nieman Market / Family Apple Fun Land – 14335 N Wauwatosa Road, Mequon, WI 53097
Lots of fun activities at Family Apple Fun Land in Mequon! Pick apples, raspberries, and pumpkins. Enjoy homegrown vegetables and fruits, snack on popcorn, caramel apples, and hot chocolate. Find your way through the “Amazing Corn Maze.” Finish off your experience by making memories in the Family Apple Fun Land! Enjoy bounce houses, jumping areas, swings, sand boxes and farm animals. Feed the animals, learn about apples, bumble bees and farming.

Shady Maple Farm – N56 W27476 Lisbon Rd. (Hwy K) Sussex, WI 53089
Shady Maple Farm is a petting zoo and pumpkin farm! Head over for a fun day filled with fall activities, including hay rides to the pick-your-own pumpkin fields, build your own scarecrow, pumpkin decorating, face painting, a free toddler corn maze and a free hay bale play area. Challenge yourself in the 5 acre labyrinth corn maze.

Meadowbrook Pumpkin Farm – 2970 Mile View Road, West Bend, WI 53095
Get spooked at this great local pumpkin farm. For the older kids, there is a haunted corn maze and bonfire. The younger kids will enjoy a kids maze, safari trail and animal petting park. Take a wagon ride to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch, play games, jump around in the bounce houses, and check out the market. **Family-friendly Creepy Cornfield runs during the day until 6pm and Thursday and Sunday nights.

ADELL (15 mins NE of Kewaskum)
Pleasure Valley Pumpkins – W7757S Hwy. A Adell, WI 53001
A hidden gem just northeast of Kewaskum. Your little ones will love the train rides and bounce house. Take a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, watch the goat, duck, and pig races, visit the sandbox, and challenge yourself with the scavenger hunt!

IXONIA (30 mins W of Hubertus)
Glacier Rock Farms – N1255 Hoard Rd, Ixonia, WI
Experience life on the farm at Glacier Rock Farms! Kids will enjoy the full petting zoo, hayrides, pumpkins and pony rides. Explore Frontier Town with Tepees, a maze, cattle roping and more. GRF is also home to The Dark Side Haunted House – voted Wisconsin’s scariest haunted house 4 years in a row.

Waldvogel’s Farm – N7416 County Road I, Juneau, WI 53039
A busy farm with tons of activities for the whole family! Explore the lost mine and the pirate ship play structure. Take a pony ride or hop on the Waldvogel train. Visit the corn maze, mini golf, gemstone mining and more. This farm really is worth the drive. See all activities here.
